Subject: nothing like a free show
phil really put on a nice show even though i was only one set alittle extended than normally they really killed it when they played cumberland and also larry did nice on chest fever the only thing that sucked was u had to take a shuttle bus all the way to grandview so it really wasnt much of a phil seen .............thanks phil for a good ole free show

Subject: Asscheylus
Too bad nobody smacked ASS-cheylus in the back of the head. What a whiner. I hear The Osmonds are gettin' back together...Why don't you go torture them with your prattlings?

"Mark it a FIVE, Dude".

Subject: nice
good to see this on here and a good recording at that. good show although only first set material was played... fotd and peggy-o has a nice acoustic touch. the crowd at this show was not exactlty what a phil crowd is all about. i had salmanilla poisoning but still was too stuborn to go to the hospital and came here instead. i only stood up for cumberland blues...which was the highlight in my mind...but some asshole behind me thought it would be funny to smack me in the back of the head...phil crowd right...anyways if i wasnt so sick the dies would of come off for a little of his own medicine. solid show though....thank u phil for a GOOD OLE FREE SHOW!

Subject: Sources
Good points Dave.

I would personally NEVER complain about multiple sources available for one show.

I guarantee the number of sources for this show is going to increase, as I will up my ak40's and Darby's 414's.

Darby's shotguns and Steve's 4011+mk41 may surface as well (I may have to go over Steve's and pick up his to check out.)

Hoss/DustinH/Funkdoc (whoever I am)

Subject: Damn
... my NakCM1000s always wanted to be 480's, or is it the V3? Very nice recording indeed. A fun day for all.

I think the number of sources might balloon further. I agree and have thought in the past that at some point enough is enough, but on the other hand, you'll find some of the most pedestrian recordings going up and getting the stars so what are you going to do? I think what's nice about this show is that everyone was running from more or less the same spot so you can sample the various sources and see what you like. If you're looking for gear, this is a one-stop-shop so to speak. As long as the LMA is willing to support multiple sources, just relax and enjoy the sharing mood.

Subject: hmmmm
is the world really better off because there are four recordings of this show available?

Somebody needs to post 7/4/08, that show was absolutely stunning.

7/6/08 at Rothbury was classic mindblowing grateful dead. I think Jackie Green blew a few minds permanently there on "all about cell block #9"

Subject: Thanks!!
Besides the fact that Phil played my hometown, I have to say....this set was filled with classic dead (love me some Box o Rain)...and how about the heady nod to the BAND!! Chest fever all night long!

watch out! this one is labeled with the wrong year, its 2008 not 07--but thanks for the great recording!

Subject: great free show
lots of energy on stage, my first show with any grateful dead member. although i was expecting a more "grateful dead sound", i was thoroughly impressed with their interpretations. fotd was amazing, i loved the fiddle in it. fennario was sooo beautiful.

For a free show what a treat. Personal highlights really include old dead i.e FOTD, Birdsong, and of course Box of Rain. Awsome to see Phil on stage.
